How to reuse dough

I love Roti's (chapati), i can have it all 3 times a day as i don't prefer Rice.
& thankfully my husband is also not a fan of rice,
so i don't need to prepare both rice & Roti daily
but when it comes to preparing the dough, i don't like kneading dough daily
I feel lazy so i usually knead 3-4 days dough at once.. :-p
 Here is how to keep your dough fresh for long.

Instant Oats Idly

Oats idly is one of my favorite breakfast recipe.
Its Made with roasted oats & dhaliya (broken wheat) & mixed with seasoning.
So its a great substitute for regular Rice idli as its tastier, healthier & easier to make

Musk melon desert

Now i will show you one of my favourite childhood desert i.e Musk Melon Desert
Very delicious yet easy to prepare. Tastes best when served with Khalakand or Paneer kheer as they enhance its taste. But presentation is also very important as proper presentation of any dish takes it to a next level.

A. Preparation of desert


  • Chopped musk melon 3cups
  • Banana 1cup
  • Sugar as per taste
  • Milk 1 cup
  • khalakand 1/4th cup (OPTIONAL)

First dissolve the sugar in the milk, then add fruits in it and refrigerate for 30mins.
serve it with a tbsp of khalakand or paneer kheer

U can find Khalakand in any Indian sweet shop, but U can substitute it with  paneer kheer also. I like it with less milk & less sugar but u can Add more Milk if u want.

B. Carving Musk melon:

Mark 2 guide lines on your musk melon, as shown below.                                                                                                                                                  
Now cut the melon with your knife following the red guide lines. I selected the S shape for my melon you can choose any other shape.

Separate the three pieces of the melon. For better understanding i will name them 1,2 & 3.

Make the 2nd part as a base and keep the 3rd part on top of it, as shown below.

Now scoop out the inner fruit with a melon spoon or a knife. 
Fill it with any fruits or desert of your choice.

NoteYou can use the 1st part for decoration as i did (by making a flower).
